Nisqually River update

The extra 800cfs in the Nisqually River’s McKenna to Yelm section may continue through June. The extra 800cfs greatly extends the number of boatable days for this section.

The extra water is due to the City of Centralia’s hydropower diversion canal, which removes water from the KcKenna section, being shutdown for repairs. Repairs are expected to be completed by June, 2023. Water diversions up to 800cfs from this section would then resume.
