River Wood Hazards

Peshastin Creek Wood
Author Last Post
5/15/16, 700 cfs, ran from below Fresh Squeezed to the Wenatchee River. First bridge you cross under, about 200 yards downriver there is a river-wide log (47.494043, -120.636284). We stopped on river left, some portaged on left and others portaged on right (one-boat eddy). Below 97 bridge to Wenatchee River there was wood in many places, but it all went.

Picture is of wood on dam, but fish ladder is clean.

This picture was taken at 660cfs, the wood extends quite a bit further than what you can see in the picture. Just as Rick mentioned you should stop to take a look for yourself before running Fresh Squeeze.

5/11/2014 run from Fresh Squeezed down to
Wenatchee at 400 cfs. When scouting Fresh Squeezed we noted smaller wood at the top just as things pick up. One of our crew thought one could ride over it with a right to left angle at this level. Will change at different levels. Definitely worth looking at if running above Fresh Squeezed. On the lower section wood in several places that can be skirted carefully - one with a scootch over shallows next to shore on the right.
