"The Narrows section of the Humptuilips is one of the true gems of the Olypmic Peninsula. Flowing through a narrow gorge tucked within a narrow strip of old growth forest give one a sense of the true beauty of the Pacific coastal rainforest..."
Assuming flows hold out we will meet at the gun range clearing on Donkey Creek Road (FR22) east off Highway 101. I will send out a pin location before the meetup date to everyone. We will locate a suitible camping are for those that wish to stay overnight and make a second run on Sunday.
Open pool play / practice in shallow end only. Polo in deep end. Come out, get wet, have fun!
Rinse your boat thoroughly before entering the pool.
If you want to play polo part of the time, that‘s fine too. If so, this is the registration to use.
This event will register you for kayak polo in the deep end. If you want general practice in the shallow end, use the other event on this same date
A couple rules -
......................................................................................................................................................................
1 - (MOST IMPORTANT) - RINSE YOUR BOAT. Either at home or at the pool. All the schmutz, dirt and leaves need to be OUT. The boat needs to be CLEAN or we might lose this pool forever. If you can‘t find the hose to rinse your boat at the pool, ask someone.
......................................................................................................................................................................
2 - Helmet REQUIRED
......................................................................................................................................................................
3 - We need to be completely out of the water by 9:30pm, and out of the building, doors locked behind us by 10:00pm.
......................................................................................................................................................................
4- No seal-launching. Even if you just slide your empty boat in/out of the pool, put a towel or kickboard under it to protect the pool lip
