We&#39;ll paddle from Medina north past the Gates compound and up to the 520 bridge. if there&#39;s interest, we can cross Lake Washington along 520 bridge. Total distance will be about 3 miles if we don&#39;t cross Lake Washington. Average pace in the 3.0-3.5 mph range.<br /><br />Please dress appropriately for the weather and water (50-60s air temp, upper 40s water temp). Dry suit or wet suit strongly recommended. Otherwise, a dry bag with a change of clothes. NO Cotton/denim.<br /><br />PFD and whistle required. And, of course, your kayak. Unless you are a strong paddler, I do not recommend anything under 12&#39; in length.<br /><br />Food/water for a 2-3 hour paddle<br /><br />During the paddle, we can work on improving our forward strokes and on edging. We can practice some water kayak rescue skills (or even rolls) at the end of the paddle if there&#39;s interest :)<br /><br />START TIME: is the launch time. please arrive earlier to unload, park, prep and for briefing.<br /><br />LAUNCH: at the kayak beach to the south of the Police station (NOT the swimmer beach to the north)
