Monthly Sea Kayak Clinic Lake Sammamish - Strokes and Assisted rescues

It's still January.  Wear your drysuit.  In this first half of the class we will discuss and work on our forward stroke by working on several forward stroke drills .  Too many people take their forward stroke for granted so we will be offering some tips to paddle more efficiently.  .  We will also practice the first of our two primary steering strokes the stern pry.  (We will focus on the stern draw in our next class). We will spend the second half of the class applying these skills by paddling from Tibbets beach to Vasa and back using the buoys along the way as marker stations for our various drills. (5 miles).  By the end of this clinic you will have a better understanding of how to paddle more efficiently.

And just because we will allocate some time for an assisted rescue practice.
