" Mukilteo to Whidbey Paddle" Trip Report- 6 paddlers: Bonnie, Beth, Emily, Rob, Dave & Bill

Plan was to paddle from Mukilteo's Lighthouse Park over to Whidbey Island stopping at the Washington Water Trails site then paddle back. With rain squalls and winds forecasted to top out in the 25 to 30K range,  Plan B went into effect. The group paddled north from Mukilteo towards Everett, accompanied by several sea lions and seals on the journey north. Loads of shore birds, seagulls, several eagles and the extremely rare Canadian geese were spotted along the way. After stopping at a remote beach in the warm sunshine for a quick lunch there was time for a rolling session ( darn that water is cold ), rescue practice, balance exercises and practicing efficient and effective paddle strokes on our way back to Mukilteo.
