San Juan Preservation Trust is Requesting Volunteers for Spring Season

Published on 5/1/2014
Greetings SJPT Volunteers!

Spring is upon us and that means field season is starting! Our stewardship team has lined up a variety of volunteer work days and we hope you’ll join us. Field days are approximately 10 am to 2 pm, but exact times will depend on ferry schedules.  If you’d like more information or are interested in signing up, please contact me.

Wed, May 21, Graham Preserve, Shaw Island – Spruce up our newly completed trail and help with holly removal.

Wed, June 11,  Kimball Preserve, Decatur Island – We'll be caging oak saplings and removing blackberry bushes.  Boat transport will be provided to/from Lopez Island.

Friday, June 20  Orcas Island -  Plenty of extra help is needed for Scotch broom removal on a private conservation easement on central Orcas Island.

More details will be available soon. Thank you for volunteering for the Preservation Trust!
