An opportunity to support a former Team River Runner paddler with ALS
Many of you have volunteered over the years with Team River Runner and know that our paddlers seek out water sports for health and healing purposes. One of our former TRR paddlers, Terry Knight, is using his love of diving as an opportunity to raise some money and bring attention to ALS, a disease that he is, unfortunately, all too familiar with. He has an event scheduled for the 13th of June to celebrate his last dive. I encourage you to check it out and consider supporting him on this day, whether it be through a donation, moral support or joining in on the dive!

BO’S LAST DIVE!
Please join me June 13th, 2015 at Sunnyside Beach Park in Steilacoom, WA for my final two dives.
I was diagnosed with ALS two years ago and my doctors and family feel it’s unsafe for me to dive any longer. I did my certification dives at Sunnyside and want to celebrate all the amazing times I’ve had diving with two final dives there.
I’m hoping to get as many divers to join me as possible! First dive will begin at noon. We’ll dive the pipeline and place a plaque at the cement box. We’ll have hot dogs and talk dive memories while waiting to go back in around 2pm for last dive.
I’m also trying to raise money for the ALSA Evergreen chapter by raffling off my dive gear. With your help we can find a cure for this devastating disease! Please go to http://webwa.alsa.org/goto/BosLastDive to donate. Every $10 donated gets you 1 chance to win the gear! Don’t miss this chance to meet other divers and help me to celebrate my last dive! Any questions please contact me via email at terry.w.knight@hotmail.com
