Join us for an ACA Skills Assessment at Freshwater Bay where will be practicing the skills required of a Level 3 Coastal Kayaker, as well as playing along the rocky shoreline that Freshwater has to offer. There is no charge for this assessment and it satisfies the prerequisites for the upcoming ACA IDW/ICE in April.

This ACA Assessment Course is designed to evaluate a participant’s ability to perform all of the skills listed along with demonstrating an appropriate level of knowledge. This assessment course provides the participant with the opportunity to receive documentation of having achieved a certain level of paddling ability. It is expected that participants interested in pursuing this award will have participated in a minimum of three, full day journeys e.g. longer than 8 nautical miles.
