About this event
While Idaho is officially in Stage 4, this trip is officially "canceled" in efforts to slow the spread of COVID-19.
Some folks may be participating in this canceled trip and taking extra precautions through SOCIAL DISTANCING and SANITATION PROTOCOLS. Email Dane for details.
Come spend a week on the Lochsa. June 19-26! (DATE CHANGE: 6/20-26)
There are some great class II-III+ runs
https://www.americanwhitewater.org/content/River/detail/id/568/
and
https://www.americanwhitewater.org/content/River/detail/id/571/
and some very exciting class IV (

https://www.americanwhitewater.org/content/River/detail/id/570/
).
This is a base-camp kinda week. Choose your run each day and do as many laps as you can during the long days around the solstice! Reserve your campsite at Wilderness Gateway Campground
https://www.recreation.gov/camping/campgrounds/232326
It's centrally located and easy access to a both the class II-III and class IV runs. Try to grab a campsite in B loop, if you want to be close to other WKC members.
Here's a link to the route to Wilderness Gateway Campground from Seattle:

There are many hiking trails, a hot spring, and lots of fishing opportunities.
