7 Rivers Challenge

A report from Kanako Iwata-Eng about the Green River Paradise access:

Thank you for letting us know that the gate to the parking lot was locked last weekend.  I got ahold of the landowner today (11/14/2023).  As some of you know, WKC pays a small annual rent, and they welcome our members to use the parking lot and the river access.  Recently, they started locking the gate from time to time, because, if they don't, homeless people would start parking and living there.  They had forgotten about us, as we weren't around for the long dry months.  The landowner promised to open the gate in a few days.  If you get there before that, or if you find the gate is locked when you get there in the future, you can use the stairs in the river left side (the other side of the Franklin Bridge).  I heard the stairs are not in the very good shape, so be careful.

We are fortunate that they share the river access.  Please be respectful to the landowners, their employees and other users.  Thank you!  See you on the Green (and everywhere else)!
