As of March 26, 2025 there is a new river-wide log BELOW the canyon, between the canyon-ending bridge and the left turn rapid above the weir. Recommend proceeding cautiously after the wave train that ends the canyon: take a good look downstream.
At ~1150 CFS the log was difficult to see and sloped down from river left to river right. On river right projected an inch or two above the surface, boofable but dangerous as current is swift. Very dangerous hazard for swimmer.
Our group failed to register the log until too close, and current made stopping difficult. Some panic-paddled left, made the bank and portaged. Others made it river right and boofed. One made it right, botched the boof, went through on river bottom ... thankfully.
