My neck is too thin even for the small Kokatat gasket, so I tried Apollo bio-seals to fill the gap. Bad-bad-bad idea. While it was super comfortable and dry for the first 3-6 river trips, the latex of the gasket started to weaken and after half a dozen more trips the gasket is totally stretched and needs to be replaced. I did rinse both the seal and the gasket with warm soapy water after each use. And in case you wonder whether it might be a faulty gasket, this happened to me _twice_, so I'm pretty sure the problem is with the silicone oils these seals contain.
Bottom line: these bio-seals are incompatible with latex gaskets, only use them if your gasket is about to go anyway.
Oh, and if anybody has advice on what else I could use to plug the leaks around my scrawny neck and wrists, I'd appreciate it :)
