Join us for the first annual Headhunt on Headworks (Green River)!
Registration check in starts at 10:00 am and paddlers will put in at 11:00am. 35
Numbered skulls will be thrown by our Grim Reaper for kayakers to retrieve and exchange for prizes. We also have 7 raffle baskets donated by the paddling community.
Costumes are encouraged, as are float bags (for hard shell kayaks) and appropriate whitewater gear.
There is a $20 entrance fee for the event and raffle tickets (to win more gear) are available at $1/ticket. All monetary donations and proceeds will be given to Mayday Foundation. You may donate directly to https://maydayfoundation.org/donate/. In the section that reads "In memory of" write KAYAK and provide a screenshot of your donation email OR pay cash at the registration table the day of the event. Mayday is a wonderful organization that provides support for cancer patients.
PLEASE NOTE: To participate in the race, you MUST register on the WKC website, but payment is either directly to Mayday or at registration table. This is a fundraiser for Mayday and all monies bypass WKC.
You will also need a Discover Pass for parking or a state park day pass. Parking is limited so carpool if you can. We are arranging shuttle from the day use picnic area.
There will be a potluck after the run. So bring your favorite dish to share & BYOB.
