Intermediate River Running Skills Clinic..


This clinic is designed for a paddler that's been paddling for more than a year and has had plenty of river time, where you have a combat river roll at least 50% of the time.  The idea of the clinic is to step up your game, start practicing making harder moves that you will need on class III/IV, by honing these skills on easier stretches.  This is also a great way to work on your confidence on the river.  This will be a very full and long day that may include hike-a-boat'ng. 

The clinic will focus on refining the following skills:

• Refine fundamental strokes and braces
• Add new strokes and concepts to your arsenal
• Quality of strokes vs quantity of strokes
  
• Holes
• Bracing
• Intro to boofing
• Boat Control throughout rapids and beyond
• Challenging eddy moves
• Using the current and the energy of the river to get where you want to go.  Learn to move and finesse your way down a rapid by using eddies, waves, and new strokes.

We ask that you take responsibility in correctly and realistically assessing your skill level based on the information above.  We want to provide an environment for all to learn and push their skills.  During the registration process you will be asked questions regarding your boating experience, from those answers we will determine if you meet the criteria needed for this clinic.  Please answer thoroughly and completely.
