Lower Cispus River is still the plan but due to fire closures we'll need to take out at Cowlitz Falls Day Use park. Here are directions:

From Morton take Highway 12 east to Savio Road. Turn right and go to Kiona Road. Turn right and follow Kiona Road to Falls Road. Turn right and continue to the Day Use Park on the left.

From Yakima take Highway 12 west to Savio Road. Turn left and go to Kiona Road. Turn left and follow Kiona Road to Falls Road. Turn right and continue to the Day Use Park on the left.

Moving the takeout will add about a 1/2 mile paddle out on Lake Scaneawa which take maybe a half hour. We'll meet up at the Day Use Area takeout at 10:30 and plan on leaving for the put-in by 11. The Lower Cispus is a beautiful stretch of river that should have just enough water for a fun float.
