If you've never paddled this river, there's a few things to know.
- The river is actually about a 2+ difficulty, however there will be occasional wood to avoid, and there will likely be at least one portage. Class 3 skills are a must to participate in this trip.
- This trip is all about surfing! You could bomb this river in under 2 hours, but that would mean missing out on some great waves. Historically we've been on the river for 4 hours or more, including a stop for lunch (where there's also a fun wave!).
-Most of the waves don't have the best eddy service, but they do have gravel bars that allow for carrying up for laps. Plan accordingly.
-People without playboats or surf skills are welcome. I just ask you have a reliable roll if you're attempting to surf, and have some patience for the group if you're sitting out on the play.
-Bring sunscreen! we almost always have a nice sunny day.
-Plan to be at the takeout no later than 10:30am.
