Thompson BC Weekend (IV)

About this event

The Trip
We will camp at a put in above the Frog and do the Black Canyon of Thompson down to the take out at the Frazier River.

This is big water 10,000 to 20,000 ft3/sec. More water than the Colorado most of the time now. Big rapids and surf waves. Probably as big as you have ever seen. Water is warm and there are not a lot of obstructions, but the waves are gigantic and the whirlpools can swallow you. Stay away from the eddy lines.

Camping
I have booked one campsite for the weekend at Shaw Springs. This is enough for 4 of us. Please book additional sites if you are coming. You can let me know if you book additional sites.. For information about the trip and to book additional Campsites at Shaw Springs go to
