Saturday: course open to all. Participate to hone your river running and/or slalom race skills!
Sunday: Join the race to try your best at fast clean runs, or just to complete the course. Race classes exist for all boat types. Don’t miss out on the fun. Bring your boating buddies, cheer your friends from the bridge above, help out or hang out.
Are you 16 and under? If so, this race will fulfill two of the three qualifying races for the ACA Regional Team Initiative. See details below**

Please register online, pay and e-sign the ACA liability waiver on the WKC events page and complete the Google Form.

Note that this year you will ALSO need to complete a google form so I know what classes you want to race in. If you register online, you will get the entire weekend for $20.
The race will run smoother and results will be done quicker, if everyone signs waiver, pays AND completes google form by 8pm on Saturday, April 5. Much appreciated!! If you are unable to register online or on time, we will ask you to complete the forms on your phone at the race site.
FEES: Thank you for supporting our permanent slalom course! $20.00 for one day or for both Saturday/Sunday, if register online. $25.00 Saturday/Sunday at event. FREE for the weekend for paddlers 18 and under. $5.00 additional for 2nd race class for everyone.

2:30 – 3:30 Junior qualification race (different course)

CAMPING: 8 miles away at Kanaskat-Palmer State Park
** REGIONAL TEAM INITIATIVE: Junior paddlers in each geographic region of the USA are eligible to earn scholarships to assist with expenses to attend a week of racing at the Nantahala Outdoor Center in North Carolina. July 19 -20 is a Junior Olympics race, July 21 - 25 is a coached training camp, and July 26-27 is Age Group Nationals.
To earn the scholarships, paddlers in Women’s and Men’s K1 and C1 in age groups U16, U14, U12 need to paddle in three races prior to the July races on the Nantahala. The other races will be at Salmon la Sac in June and maybe some in May in southern Oregon. Each paddler earns points for their placing. The top three point -earners in each class qualify for the scholarship. U18 paddlers may participate but will not qualify for a scholarship.
