2026 Trip Planning Party (II to III+/IV)

UPDATE - Due to low water, paddling has been moved to the Powerhouse.
Join us for the 2026 Trip Planning Party on Saturday 1/24. After some paddling, we will reconvene at No Boat Brewing (link also below) likely around 2pm, where we'll have some river snacks, some NA beverages and there will be beer for purchase. We'll tell some stories, recount tales, and fill up the spring calendar. Hope to see you there!

We’d love it if you could join us for the party, the paddle, or both! Don’t worry if you’re not a “trip leader”, this is a great chance to connect with friends and get excited for the 2026 season. Come and meet some of the WKC trip leaders, share your ideas for what kind of events you’d like to see this year. The goal is to fill up the 2026 calendar with some trips for the new graduates of Beginners Class, some fun community-building events (like Amy’s awesome Halloween Headhunt), share ideas for clinics or multi-day trips (Wenatchee weekend? Boofs clinic on the Kalama?) and most importantly provide a great chance to hang out with each other on dry land. Hope to see you there!
Ideas for 2026 trips could include:
- We will need class II, II+ after the whitewater class ends (Headworks, Club Stretch, Big Eddy, SF Snoqualmie, etc.)
- Skill builders
- River rolling
- Follow the Leader (Eddy Hopping / Attainment work)
- Camping trips / self-supports or car camping
- 7 Rivers Challenge - Sauk, Stilliguamish, Sol Duc, Wenatchee, Nisqually, White Salmon, Nooksack
- Easter egg hunt trip
- Olympic Pennisula adventures
- Ocean surfing
- After-work trips
- Wenatchee
- Nisqually
- Cispus - good surfing!!!
- Summer excursions (Cascade whitewater park, Wassau Wisconsin Jackson Play Clinic)
- Don't forget about Fall boating (Halloween, anything in October, November, and December are awesome)
