Come howl at the moon during a nighttime paddle! Afterwards, we will have a potluck dinner at the take-out.

The YoYo is a class 2 run, but the darkness makes it more challenging. You won't be able to see features ahead of time so it's all about reacting on the fly. Please have class 3 paddling skills for this trip. I will supply glow sticks to attach to bow and stern of each boat and the back of each PFD so we can find you in the event of a swim. It is recommended that you bring a waterproof headlamp with a strap big enough to fit over your helmet. 

4:30pm  - Meet at Flaming Geyser State Park
Drop boats, attach glow sticks, run shuttle. The park will close before we get off the water so drivers will need to leave cars outside the park (1.3 miles away) and walk back in to join the group.
5:31pm - Sunset launch time
6:30pm or whenever we get off the water - potluck at the take-out. Bring food to share and propane fire if you have it.

The moon will be near full on this day. We need clear skies in order to see the moonlight, so this event will be rescheduled to the next full moon in case of rainy/cloudy weather.
