As per several discussions at the white water trip planning meeting a couple of months ago, I signed up to coordinate the labor day trip on the Thompson in spite of the fact I have never boated it. The plan is that will cancel the trip if I don't get some experienced boaters signed up to help me lead it.
So I'm thinking I should buy a guide book that describes all the rapids (and other perils). Can someone recommend such a book? Or should I rely on what I can find for free by google searching?
What else do I need to do to prepare?
I'm told by veteran paddlers that I don't need to make camp ground reservations...
Thanks Siegfried
