Hi Greg,
Great idea and I'd love to join you - in theory. Right now all I can say is that 1/19 is not possible and 1/5 is a maybe while I juggle other commitments. Hope you get to make it work. I'll commit to 1/5 over the next few days if it turns out I can. Was in DP for the Challenge and can never get enough of it.

There are now two of us and I'm looking for at least one more, room for two more for a DP tidal rapids course. Getting closer to a plan with George:
Best currents + his availability mean Jan 5th or 19th. The 19th has better max ebb at 6.7kn vs 5.7kn. Once I have one more he'll open registration. We will start at 8:30am at the parking lot on south side of DP bridge (Whidbey I.)
There are some pre-reqs: check the link in my first post for a link to the KA class description, and contact Kayak Academy if unsure. Assume that we won't go if the conditions don't allow.

Hi All, This may be a long shot but I'm looking for at least 2 people interested in the following:
I want to get ramped up in tidal rapids experience before heading down to PGG in early Feb. George Gronseth says he'll do an unscheduled 1-day session of KA's SK213 Tidal Rapids in DP class to accommodate.
The exact date is flexible depending on our availability + the right conditions of a strong 5.7+ kn ebb in the early afternoon.
The goal is to gradually work our way up the current strength after slack.
Class link: https://www.kayakacademy.com/products/sea-kayaking-213 Several days have the right conditions between 12/22 and Jan 5th. Also the weekend of Jan 18-19.
Please let me know right away if interested.
Thanks! Greg Torvik 206-390-5178 Seattle
