My experience is that when paddlers come to the Olympic Peninsula, they want to know about the freed lower Elwha after historic removal of two dams. The river is new and constantly changing. I posted two new Elwha Dam Rapid photo albums, roughly 350cfs. One is strictly from river right, the easiest, most popular hike in access. The other is strictly from river left and is limited to photos of debris hazards that need to be removed. Optimistically, have the Park budget funds but we could also maybe hold a clean up event in partnership. The materials are in challenging location.
