Sea Kayaking

The Washington Kayak Club welcomes Sea Kayakers.  Sea Kayaks are welcome at all pool practice sessions, and rolling clinics.  We currently don’t offer many Sea Kayak trips, but please check the calendar for current postings.  Sea kayakers may also get involved in kayak polo (check with the event leader about borrowing a short kayak), and consider taking the beginning white water class.

Signing up for trips and events is easy - simply go to the event calendar and click on the registration button.   Members and non-members are welcome depending on the trip, but of course non-members will be strongly encouraged to join the club!

Our trip schedule depends on dedicated volunteer trip leaders and trip chair.   The trip chair does not have to lead a lot of trips, or even be a super experienced kayaker- the job is mostly to encourage other people to post trips on the calendar, and make sure the program is publicized.  If you are interested in helping improve the WKC sea kayak trip program, we would love to have you.  Contact president@washingtonkayakclub.org

WKC member Terry Fox paddles every Tuesday 7:30 AM on the water, Tibbets beach, Lake Sammamish State Park, year around.  These are non-club sea kayak trips.  He does want an email beforehand: tfox@siemc.com.  Thank you Terry!
