This trip is perfect for new whitewater graduates or anybody who wants to dial their roll and transition to class 3. We will work on rolling in current, eddy lines, boils and might even get after some hand rolls if people are interested. The goal here is to have fun and test our limits in a safe environment. I recommend having a semi reliable flat water roll before signing up.

This trip is LEVEL DEPENDENT so please check the gauge the FRIDAY night BEFORE. IF levels are 400-800 cfs on the Cedar by Friday 6 PM the NIGHT before the trip is ON. If the levels are out of range the trip is OFF. I want people to have the change to work on gates in their kayaks, the levels chosen are BEST for the Slalom Park.

American Whitewater Link: https://www.americanwhitewater.org/content/River/detail/id/2078/

Come play on the Slalom course at the Cedar. Bring your sliciest kayak, playboat, or even your creek boat! I can give informal pointers and show folks how to raise and lower the functional gates.

Get ready for the next Cedar Slalom race by having some fun learning the course!

Laps will be walked, no need for a shuttle!

If it‘s cold bring some coffee, tea or soup to warm your soul in the parking lot!
