The whitewater season has begun! Hone your river paddling skills, learn to put your boat where you want it. Join instructor, Dawn Meekhof at a Slalom Clinic on the Cedar River gates for recreational boaters (plastic play, creek, river runners, or open boats or a composite whitewater boat). This class is geared to WW paddlers looking to advance their river running technique. Slalom gate practice provides a way to test harder kayak moves in a low-consequence rapid. Paddlers should have basic paddling and rolling skills acceptable for a class II river. An optional fun slalom race will be held at 3:00 pm.
