Boof Workshop! (III+)

This is a workshop for paddlers who are comfortable on the Middle Middle (or similar runs) and want to learn/improve their boof. Maybe you've tried some boofs but haven't really gotten it to click, or maybe you've heard or seen other people do it but don't know where to start. I've spent the past paddling year really focused on this area, and while I still have a lot of room to improve, I've learned a lot and I'd like to share the techniques that I've found have really helped me. We'll break the boof down into three major parts, all of which can be practiced independently on small features or even flat water. Then we'll put it all together through various drops on the Middle Middle, helping each other along the way. Why should you learn to boof? One, it's super fun. Two, it's often easier to fly over complex hydraulics and land in the calmer water beyond them than it is to go straight through them. This is a little flow dependent so you may have to be a little flexible on date/location. A roll is mandatory, as are float bags, and masks for shuttles.
