Lochsa -- III/IV

The Lochsa is a beautiful wild and scenic river in Northern Idaho.  It's about a 10 hr drive from Seattle, the last miles of which are up the river canyon on Hwy 12.  The best place to camp in at Wilderness Gateway Campground (  where sites are $14/night, but if we get enough folks to attend, I'll try to get the group site.

The river has class III and IV sections, all of which are a blast.  A typical day has a shuttle leaving for put-in at about 10 (or putting in directly from the campground) with a 10-15 mile river run which puts us back in camp by mid-afternoon.

We'll shoot for flows between 4500 and 5500 CFS which makes for some big fun waves.
