Part of Nisqually River Cleanup 2022, an annual joint project of Washington Kayak Club, Washington Recreational River Runners and Paddle Trails Canoe Club. We will boat the river, stopping to pick up trash along the way. At the take-out there will be a raffle with swag provided by Jackson Kayaks for those who register in advance. This is a fun river stewardship event that typically draws in lots of boaters as well as non-boater friends who help out with cleaning up on land.
This WKC trip is for those wishing to boat the upper (class 2-3) section from McKenna Park to Nisqually Park ( aka Yelm Hydroplant). There is a separate WKC trip for the lower (class 1-2) section from Nisqually Park to the 6th Ave SE WDFW water access site.
To participate in this event as a WKC boater, we ask that you please register here and *also* at the Nisqually Cleanup 2022 Eventbrite site:
https://www.eventbrite.com/e/nisqually-river-cleanup-2022-registration-261181499897
