WKC Sea Kayak 2-night Blake Island Marine State Park (SKII+)
Group will be launching near Southworth ferry terminal Friday June 24 returning June 26.

We will put in at Southworth public launch with a(1)NM crossing and (2) NM shoreline paddle to Blake Island. This paddle has possible winds in both directions. If wind forecast is above 10 MPH, the trip will dependent on skill and comfort level paddling in wind waves above 2-4'.

We will set up camp in main camp ground on the east side of Blake Island near restrooms. Things to do on Blake Island is paddle around the island, day trip options to Manchester or Southworth and enjoy beautiful sunrise/sunsets. Blake Island also has trails for hiking around the island. If we are lucky we may see passing whales, sea lions and harbor seals.

This is a good trip for those who have successfully taken the WKC SK Beginner course. Self/Assisted rescue training and dry/wet suits required. Boats must have bulkheads and deck-lines.

Due to limit of 8 people per camp size the trip is capped to 7 + trip leader.

Tina Marie 253-508-3290
