Kayak polo at Hamid's

Hello all Polo players, good friends and new faces - this is the reminder and additional details about Polo on Lake Sammamish Sep 17-18. There are some major changes in the venue this year. Camping dates: sept 16-18 Game days: Sep 17-18 Hamid’s Address: 478 w lake Sammamish pkwy NE, Bellevue Next door neighbor’s address (Jay and Rebecca): 486 w lake Sammamish pkwy NE, Bellevue. This is only for a quick load/unload. see the details below on the restrictions for parking at the neighbor’s place. Major Changes from previous years: Location/pathway: the old house (#480) is now an ABnB rental house and people will be staying there that weekend. So we won’t be able to use the deck and porch by that house this time. As you pass the Left side of the old house by the chicken coop, please keep clear from the carport and it’s general vicinity to minimize disturbance. Walk down the trail to the beach with your gear. You may find a clever way to transport your kayak by sliding it through a shoot from the top of the hill to the beach area (especially if it’s plastic and won’t easily scratch). As you look at the old house (#480), stay in the Left side of it on the narrow trail to the beach. Parking: Parking is limited on the parkway and at my place. So please carpool if possible. You can drop off and pick up your gear at my neighbor’s house just to the north (#486). Drive down the asphalt driveway and stay to the right near my house. Walk through the opening at the end of fence line by their trash cans and come to my property. I will try to put some red cones or signs to show where you can park while there. Please minimize the number of cars at the load/unload area to about 3 at a time and don’t block their garage at any time and try to minimize your stopping time there. Thank you for understanding! You can park some cars on the top by my garage (#478) and don’t worry about blocking my garage. Otherwise find other parking spots on the parkway. I will try to leave my truck parked by the mailboxes to give you more space. More cars can be parked in the shared gravel road toward the old house #480, but only if you have 4WD, or AWD … otherwise you can get stuck or make a mess on the gravel road. You can park along side the retaining wall to the south side of the gravel road in front of my boat trailer. But please keep the gravel road clear for the Tenants cars. Don’t drive down any further than the boat trailer not even for turning your car around. Backing down in reverse for parking is a good way to drive out the narrow gravel road. Camping and indoor stay: You can camp anywhere near or on the beach. We have electric outlets near the storage shed and kayak racks for lighting and charging. There are a mini fridge, 2 burner gas stove and a gas grill as well. Also a fire pit on the beach with lots of wood to burn if you want to go to the wild side of cooking and camping. Some of you can sleep in the small 1 bedroom with 2 beds (1 queen, 1 pull up couch) apartment right under my house. For the time being I’ve reserved that place for Maggie/Ned and or Amy & Sue. But we can be reassign it if Maggie and Ned (who haven’t confirmed) end up not coming. That place has a good size kitchen and complete bathroom. If additional indoor stay is needed the first level of my house has a large couch and some floor space too. Toilet: The same temporary toilet facility that we used in Washougal can be duplicated at the beach.  The toilet at the condo will be some walk to get to but it’s available as well if needed. If you invite others not in this list, please make sure to share the parking information and other details with them.
Cheers, Hamid (425.445.3260)
