Lake Mayfield And Cowlitz River

Paddle Lake Mayfield and Cowlitz River (up to or close to the Mossy Rock Dam which is the tallest Dam in Washington). Beautiful cool, mossy cliffs and refreshing forest shade await us as we paddle leisurely up the river (almost no current).  Paddle length may be 12 miles, but we may break into 2 groups for those who prefer 10 miles or less.  The lake is fairly warm, and you may wish to practice rescue skills or find other excuses to practice wet paddle skills on this trip.
Launch from Ike Kinswa State Park Swim Area (Discover Pass required).  Landings are limited, but we know of a couple places to stop for lunch.
Don't forget food, and Discover Pass.
