7 Rivers Challenge Update
By Kanako Iwata-Eng

We launched 7 Rivers Challenge in 2016 in order to encourage our members to venture out of our staple rivers of Snoqualmie, Skykomish and Green. 7 Rivers include Nooksack, Nisqually, Sauk, Stillaguamish, Sol Duc, Wenatchee and White Salmon. If you are an active member and participate in a WKC trip to these rivers receive a sticker, and when you collect all 7 river stickers, you would receive Big 7 sticker.
This spring, WKC Vice President Bob Menard paddled the Nisqually and completed the 7 Rivers Challenge. Congratulations, Bob! So far, only 7 members have completed the challenge.

10 members are one more river to go. It is clear we need Nooksack trips. We haven’t been able to have the Nooksack trips last 2 years due to the dangerous log situation. Let’s hope it gets better soon.
